| Holly and Peter Zaborowski of New Milford Connecticut are the proud owners of The Primitive Home, LLC at 312 Danbury Road, New Milford CT in the Red Barns (1/2 mile north of New Milford High School). This home decor and gift store is open from Tuesday through Saturday 10 AM to 5 PM and Sunday 11 AM to 4 PM and you may also shop online. Selling primitive, country and antique reproductions, ever popular barn stars, lighting, candles, antiqued local made furniture, exclusive Goatboy Soaps, Jam & Jelly, wrought iron and specialty “Candlewood Lake” and town wooden signs, there is sure to be something here to make everyone’s house a home. The store’s product offerings include a wide range in prices from $1 to $2,500 in an ever-changing collection for the New England home. Holly and Peter have their own line of handcrafted products they make right in New Milford including all the handcrafted signs, nautral laundry soap, room sprays, reed diffusers and more. Holly, 31 and Peter 32, had a dream to own their own business for years and finding this opportunity was a perfect match – Holly’s love of crafts and home decorating mixed with the charm of New Milford that Peter and Holly both love made it impossible for them to pass up and purchased The Primitive Home in October 2006 after hearing the previous owners were closing the store. Holly runs the store and looks forward to meeting local residents and invites everyone to stop by and say hello. Peter is the Manager of Monroe Muffler & Brake located in New Milford as well.
